
Production Supervisor
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the set up and operation of one or more production lines directing, training and motivating employees and workers on the line to achieve optimal performance of their assigned tasks; helping to solve problems; meeting quality and production standards and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR CAN LOOK LIKE:

Setting up jobs that best accommodates each employee based on standard line lay out while maintaining production efficiencies.

Meeting quotas and/or deadlines based on bid standards and Standard line lay out keeping employee abilities in mind

Maintaining quality standards set forth by the Bill of Material (BOM)/Specifications administered by Quality Control Personnel.

Training, coaching, encouraging and motivating employees and workers to efficiently perform their assigned tasks.

Performing Quality checks against BOM/Specifications as required and recording findings

Entering labor, production and quality data.

Ensuring accurate records for employee performance and attendance are maintained.

Providing protective oversight of employees through encouragement, moral support, and patient direction.

Setting standards for jobs and insuring time studies are completed on time.

Maintaining work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner.

Complying with all SQF procedures and policies, and being responsible to report food safety problems.

Following all policies and procedures established by the Corporation

Performing other related duties as directed by management
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
-
Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.

1-2 years lead position or supervisor in industry preferred.

Quality control experience helpful.

Prior experience with people with disabilities helpful.

Good verbal and written communication skills required.
