Forklift Operator

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift along with general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trucks. This individual must have a strong focus on safety and an awareness of his/her surroundings. They must be able to follow directions and work well with employees/clients, staff, and customers.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FORKLIFT OPERATOR CAN LOOK LIKE:

  • Positioning forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials

  • Unloading and stacking material by raising and lowering lifting device.

  • Loading or unloading materials onto or off of pallets skids or lifting device.

  • Inspecting product load for accuracy and safely moving it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.

  • Performing a variety of routine tasks to assist in production activities.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An accredited high school diploma or general equivalency diploma(GED)

  • Experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment

  • Customer-service mindset

  • Desire to learn and grow with a great organization
