
Logistics Manager
Logistics Manager will oversee and coordinate key aspects of logistics for a multi-sight facility. They will collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure materials are stocked and delivered to customers in a timely manner. The individual will need to drive the execution of the business and motivate team members to achieve the best results and drive continuous process improvement. Implementation, training and maintaining of current and future operating policies on general logistics and product procedures is key. Optimize and maintain inventory based on demand and supply chain activities. The individual should be able to thrive in fast paced environment and is strategic and tactical. Excellent verbal and written communication is essential, as well as, attention to detail.
Duties:

Manage the movement, distribution and storage of materials between multiple facilities.

Responsible for the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure external, as well as, internal customers receive products on time.

Ensure finished goods are loaded and shipped according to customer requirements.

Oversee warehouses, material handling, transportation and planning of workers.

Supervise receiving/shipping process.

Responsible for ensuring warehouse and distribution workers are trained and follow safety rules and processes.

Ensure forklift drivers perform duties in an efficient and safe manner

Prepare reports as necessary, supporting finance and upper management initiatives.

To comply with all SQF procedures and policies, and is responsible to report food safety problems.

Use cell phone frequently for communication and performing job duties (reimbursed expense as approved)

Follow all policies and procedures established by the organization.

Perform other related duties as directed by the COO
Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. Valid driver’s license needed in order to provide support between production and warehouse facilities. Forklift certification preferred.
Experience:
Three – five years work experience in a production/packaging/warehouse environment with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Must be familiar with warehouse management and yard management systems. SAP software applications knowledge is a plus.
