
Maintenance Trainee
The Maintenance Trainee is responsible for helping perform routine building and equipment maintenance and providing assistance when possible to all members of the maintenance team. He/she must exhibit good attendance and set an example for employees/clients with disabilities.
Duties:

Assist Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor and Operations Manager in meeting maintenance/production line requirements in all facilities

Assist with minor building maintenance (i.e. replace filters, light bulbs, painting, etc.)

Help the maintenance team to perform preventive maintenance on all floor, facility & operating systems equipment when not in use

Place orders for shop stock supplies

Watch and learn how to repair equipment that is down and assist when needed

Keep grounds and sidewalks clear of debris, ice and snow

Assist the disposal of contaminated substances in the facility.

Willing to be trained to operate a forklift for maintenance needs

Drive company van for Maintenance needs

Maintain his/her work area and tools in a safe and organized manner

Demonstrate effective, timely and efficient work habits

To comply with all SQF procedures and policies, and is responsible to report food safety problems

Follow all policies and procedures established by the Corporation

Perform other related duties as directed by the Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor and Operations Manager
Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Good mechanical skills required. Ability to understand verbal and written directions. Good communication skills required. Valid driver’s license.
Experience:
6 months to 1 year of experience or equivalent education.
