Senior Director of Operations

The Senior Director of Operations ensures the company has effective operational procedures and financial goals in place in order to serve our mission while providing the successful delivery of the business’s outcomes through the strategic development of business plans. Oversees all activities of production, logistics, purchasing, inventory, maintenance, facilities and the strategic planning of those departments, ensuring that all activities are adding value to the business and goals are being met.  Partners with quality and account management to ensure customer satisfaction is exceeded.  This position needs to monitor internal processes, and identify and employ the most efficient methods of running the organization. Serves as subject matter expert for packaging and light manufacturing and continually positions the company as a regional and national leader. 

The Senior Director of Operations must be a leader with an ability to inspire a cross-functional team as well as senior business leadership and executives in a unified direction in order to realize overall business performance enhancement thus meeting operational and financial goals.

The Senior Director of Operations combines strategic thinking and tactical executions, coupled with relentless ambition and energy that enables BCI to reach targets, goals, and attain objectives.

Duties:

  • Responsible for the administrative, financial, and operations management of the organization

  • Managing activities that are part of the production of goods and services. Their direct responsibilities include, but not limited to, managing both the operations process, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy.

  • Oversee the operations of the organization to meet business goals and projections

  • Strong understanding of financial management and project costing procedures to ensure competitive and profitable project estimates and their implementation.

  • Partner with C-level executives to accomplish short and long-term operational goals

  • Collaborate closely with the chief executive officer and produce reports on company objectives

  • Work with sales and marketing team in creating engaging content that will serve to attract prospects to the business

  • Work with both internal and external business leadership and executives, be open and welcoming to change, be a creative and strategic thinker, have exceptional problem solving skills

  • Assist the planning, coordinates and assures implementation of strategies to develop customers, donors and contributions to support the organization

  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Chief Executive Officer

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent experience. 

  • Comprehensive management skills and experience are required including but not limited to short and long-term planning, evaluation, directing and motivating staff

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Experience:

Fifteen years in a senior business executive position with experience leading multiple divisions/functions in a manufacturing and/or packaging industry
